Pasco Marijuana Arrest Leads To Discovery Of More Than 2,000 Canisters Of Illegal MushroomsA marijuana bust that ended up netting Pasco County Sheriff’s a search warrant led to a huge mushroom-growing operation. Undercover officers in Port Richey landed a search warrant after three marijuana deals and they were shocked at what they uncovered. Inside two separate homes they found more than 2,000 canisters of illegal hallucinogenic mushrooms. Drug enforcement agents and deputies wearing haz-mat suits removed the illegal drugs from two Pasco County homes. Gerald Hannafin was arrested and investigators then went to his father’s home where more mushrooms were found. The older Hannafin told deputies he thought the mushrooms were legal. Today though Hernando County deputies have arrested a second person involved in themarijuana cultivation. According to TampaBay.com, Jeffery Scott Wagner was arrested on drug cultivation charges in connection with the marijuana operation run out of the house of Rhonda Quince, who was charged previously. Marijuana Grow House In Brooksville Started By A Woman Looking To Pay Her BillsRhonda Quince had an empty room in her house and a pile of bills. Instead of taking in a renter she decided to turn the room into a marijuana grow house. The Brooksville woman was arrested on drug charges when Hernando County Sheriff’s deputies searched her home and found 169 marijuana plants. According to ABC Action News, Quince allowed the deputies to search her Brooksville home. She also apparently admitted to growing pot and selling it in an effort to help pay her bills. The plants were valued at $150,000 and were in different stages of development under hydroponic lights.… |
