Prescription Drug Fraud And Trafficking Charges Filed in Pinellas Against Twin Brothers

Pinellas County Sheriff’s arrested three people on charges of prescription drug fraud, two of which were twin brothers. TBO.com is reporting that Alberto and Aldo Jogan have been charged with conspiracy to traffic in oxycodone. Aldo Jogan’s girlfriend was also arrested on trafficking charges. Other charges for the brother’s included possession of cocaine, prescription fraud and possession of other controlled substances.

According to the newspaper report, the trio created fake prescription forms, forged signatures and then had others fill the prescriptions for them. Once they had the painkillers in hand, they made arrangements to sell the pills. The three suspects were on the radar of investigators since 2008 but it wasn’t until one of the three was the victim of a recent home invasion at a Treasure Island motel that police were able to locate the group.…

81-Year-Old Marion County Man Busted For Selling Marijuana

The Ocala Star Banner is reporting that an 81-year-old Marion County man has been arrested for marijuana possession with intent to sell and possession of a firearm that doesn’t have a serial number. The man was booked into Marion County jail and released.

According to the story Carlton Griggs admitted to selling pot for the last two years. He sold it out of his home just south of Ocala in Ocklawaha. The marijuana was reportedly found in his cellar in a cooler. There was no comment from the man or his wife, both of whom the newspaper tried to question.…

No Cocaine And Meth In My House! Pasco Mom Turns In Her Sun For Stashing Drugs In Her Home

A Dade City 25-year-old who stashed large amounts of meth and cocaine in his mother’s house was arrested after she called deputies upon finding the drugs. Pasco County sheriff’s arrested Camron Buck for drug trafficking and marijuana possession after he showed up to the house where the drugs were stashed with two pounds of marijuana.

According to reports cited in a story on TampaBay.com, Buck allegedly told his mom he was going to get killed over her calling the cops during his questioning by sheriff’s deputies. There was reportedly $15,000 worth of methamphetamine and over $4,000 worth of coke in the house.…

Suspected Sarasota Crack Dealers Arrested In Drug Sting In Charlotte County

According to police reports and a story form the Sarasota Herald Tribune, two Sarasota men have been arrested for on drug charges for arranging to sell crack to undercover police officers. Police reports indicate that a confidential informant was involved in the sting operation that resulted in the arrest of Edward N. Johnson and Gregory Gillespie for tampering with evidence, possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute and false imprisonment.

The two men are accused of arranging to sell crack to Charlotte County sheriff’s detectives and then keeping the police’s confidential informant against his will in the back of their Cadillac once the drug deal went bad.…

Cocaine Trafficking Charges Filed Against St Pete Man On Probation For Federal Drug Conviction

Authorities identified Justin Richardson as a major coke dealer in St Pete and now the 29-year-old is under arrest. According to TBO.com, Richardson, who is on probation for federal drug charges, will be back in federal court to face new cocaine trafficking charges. Richardson is scheduled to be in U.S. District Court in Tampa today for a bail hearing on charges of conspiracy to possess cocaine with intent to distribute.

Richardson is currently on probation from a conviction in Texas for sending five pounds of pot and several kilos of cocaine to St Pete via DHL in 2004. The cocaine ring has connections to Mexico and Sarasota according to police reports and Richardson also reportedly sold a Tampa man upwards of 10 kilos of cocaine over the last several months.…

Man Popping A Wheelie Gets Popped For Trafficking Heroin

If you are driving around with 15 bags of heroin on you, may not be a great idea to call attention to yourself. Seems Wilfredo Velez learned that lesson the hard way. According to reports and the TBO.com, Valez was pulled over for popping a wheelie on a Tampa street Sunday afternoon. Police found 15 bags of heroin and charged him with drug trafficking and heroin possession.

Making matters worse for Valdez is the fact he was cruising the streets while allegedly possessing heroin with a suspended license and he also did not have a motorcycle endorsement. He is now being held in jail on drug charges.…

Drug Trafficking Ring In Pinellas, Polk, Orange, Seminole, Lake and Volusia Busted

A high-grade marijuana distribution ring that reached into six central Florida counties was busted by local, state and federal officials on Thursday. According to a story on BayNew9.com investigators estimate the marijuana distribution ring was moving $500,00 to $750,000 worth of pot per week. There are 41 suspects under arrest on drug charges most facing felony drug trafficking and conspiracy charges.

According to the story the weed was being sold for $4,300 to $4,500 per pound. David Cole of Chuluota was named as the ring’s leader. Cole was dealing pot to the tune of $90,000 a week. The marijuana is believed to have come from California where legal medical marijuana is being grown.…

Prescription Drugs Lead To DUI Arrest On UCF Campus In Orlando

Police on the UCF campus in Orlando discovered a man asleep at the wheel of his car at 6:21 a.m. Sunday. Thomas Clyde Mastin, Jr. had more than 70 prescription muscle relaxants in his car at the time. He has been arrested and charged with DUI, possession of a controlled substance, sale or delivery of oxycodone, trafficking in oxycodone and other charges.

Mastin allegedly failed field sobriety tests but registered a blood-alcohol level of 0.00 on his breath test. He admitted to drinking at a bar in Casselberry where he worked and taking oxycodone earlier that day. The Orlando Sentinel is also reporting the man admitted to having alprazolam and carisoprodol on his possession for a bad back.…
