Tampa Pair Arrested In Home Invasion Served Time For Cocaine Convictions

A pair of Tampa men who are suspected in a home invasion have faced a combined 93 charges in the past. Both men have also served time for drug crimes. Both men have been in jail on two occasions for cocaine charges. The men are charged with breaking into a home on South Willow Ave. and have been charged with home invasion, robbery and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon charges.

Mother Who Supplied Teen Son With Oxycodone Pleads Guilty To Contributing To His Fatal Overdose

Linda Courtright is facing 20 years to life in federal prison after pleading guilty to a drug distribution charge in Tampa today. The 36-year-old admitted to supplying her 15-year-old son with the oxycodone that eventually killed him in a drug overdose. Nicholas Block was found to have oxycodone, cocaine and alprazolam in his system when he died.

The story surrounding Block’s death is as sad as it is shocking. Block had already been in trouble with the law following a marijuana charge but the details of what took place in a Budget Inn Motel on the night of his death are just astounding.…

Cocaine Trafficking Charges Filed Against St Pete Man On Probation For Federal Drug Conviction

Authorities identified Justin Richardson as a major coke dealer in St Pete and now the 29-year-old is under arrest. According to TBO.com, Richardson, who is on probation for federal drug charges, will be back in federal court to face new cocaine trafficking charges. Richardson is scheduled to be in U.S. District Court in Tampa today for a bail hearing on charges of conspiracy to possess cocaine with intent to distribute.

Richardson is currently on probation from a conviction in Texas for sending five pounds of pot and several kilos of cocaine to St Pete via DHL in 2004. The cocaine ring has connections to Mexico and Sarasota according to police reports and Richardson also reportedly sold a Tampa man upwards of 10 kilos of cocaine over the last several months.…

Man Popping A Wheelie Gets Popped For Trafficking Heroin

If you are driving around with 15 bags of heroin on you, may not be a great idea to call attention to yourself. Seems Wilfredo Velez learned that lesson the hard way. According to reports and the TBO.com, Valez was pulled over for popping a wheelie on a Tampa street Sunday afternoon. Police found 15 bags of heroin and charged him with drug trafficking and heroin possession.

Making matters worse for Valdez is the fact he was cruising the streets while allegedly possessing heroin with a suspended license and he also did not have a motorcycle endorsement. He is now being held in jail on drug charges.…

Tampa Shooting Linked To Drugs? Investigators Are Looking Into The Connection.

Hillsborough County Sheriff’s are investigating the circumstances surrounding a 22-year-old Tampa man who was shot in his apartment Tuesday evening. According to TBO.com deputies found drug paraphernalia inside the victim’s apartment and are investigating whether it was a drug-related shooting.

The victim, who survived the shooting, described the suspects as two men wearing masks and hooded sweatshirts. He was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital after deputies discovered him sitting outside his home with a gunshot wound on his torso. The apartment where the shooting took place was located on Noth 58th Street.…
