Punta Gorda Mom Facing Drug Charges For Meth And Xanax Found In Her House

Police officers in Punta Gorda were called out to check on the health of the mother of a three-month-old infant and during the wellness check they found meth, Xanax and drug paraphernalia. According to the HeraldTribune.com, Mandy Cheri McLean was charged with drug possession for having methamphetamine and Xanax without a prescription. She was taken to jail and was being held on $6,000 bail.

Police officers report that McLean did not respond when they knocked on her door and entered the home to check on the woman. According to police reports she was found passed out. There was allegedly a bag containing meth and a glass pipe.…

Mother High On Illegal Painkillers Allegedly Leaves Her Baby On The Side Of A Busy Road

Clearwater police are claiming that a woman on probation for credit card fraud and failure to appear in court was so high on illegal painkillers that she left her two-year-old on the side of a busy road on a night when temperatures outside were as low as 54 degrees. Jamie Michelle Campbell has been charged with child neglect, possession of a controlled substance, violation of probation and tampering with evidence. She was booked into Pinellas County Jail.

According to TampaBay.com after Campbell was taken to her probation officer for the child neglect charges she tried to dispose of illegal painkillers in the back of the police cruiser and also in her probation officer’s toilet while being tested for drugs use.…

Suspected Sarasota Crack Dealers Arrested In Drug Sting In Charlotte County

According to police reports and a story form the Sarasota Herald Tribune, two Sarasota men have been arrested for on drug charges for arranging to sell crack to undercover police officers. Police reports indicate that a confidential informant was involved in the sting operation that resulted in the arrest of Edward N. Johnson and Gregory Gillespie for tampering with evidence, possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute and false imprisonment.

The two men are accused of arranging to sell crack to Charlotte County sheriff’s detectives and then keeping the police’s confidential informant against his will in the back of their Cadillac once the drug deal went bad.…

Tampa Man Faces Aggravated Battery And Drug Charges After Ramming A U.S. Marshal’s Car

Tampa police arrested three men last night after one of them rammed his Dodge Charger into a U.S. Marshal’s car. Tyrone Sheffield fled from police on Sligh Avenue running red lights and speeding. He abandoned his car inside which police found marijuana and crack cocaine they say was packaged for sale.

Later that evening Tampa police were investigating a suspicious vehicle on Hillsborough Avenue. At that point they investigated and identified one of the passengers as Sheffield. He was arrested and charged with possession of coke, possession of marijuana, aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer, fleeing and drug paraphernalia charges.…

Cocaine Trafficking Charges Filed Against St Pete Man On Probation For Federal Drug Conviction

Authorities identified Justin Richardson as a major coke dealer in St Pete and now the 29-year-old is under arrest. According to TBO.com, Richardson, who is on probation for federal drug charges, will be back in federal court to face new cocaine trafficking charges. Richardson is scheduled to be in U.S. District Court in Tampa today for a bail hearing on charges of conspiracy to possess cocaine with intent to distribute.

Richardson is currently on probation from a conviction in Texas for sending five pounds of pot and several kilos of cocaine to St Pete via DHL in 2004. The cocaine ring has connections to Mexico and Sarasota according to police reports and Richardson also reportedly sold a Tampa man upwards of 10 kilos of cocaine over the last several months.…

Marijuana Hidden In His Buttocks, Former Utah Jazz Center Doesn’t Fool Police

Former Utah Jazz center Robert Whaley was busted with several bags of marijuana that he was hiding from police in between his butt cheeks according to the Salt Lake Tribune. The 27-year-old had a warrant for his arrest issued in Michigan for a violation of probation. According to the story Utah may not pursue the drug charge as it would delay Whaley’s return to Michigan on the arrest warrant.

Whaley allegedly tried to hide his identity from the police but he was too high profile and was recognized by the officers on the scene. Whaley has been in trouble with the law for providing false information in 2005 and then for a 2008 conviction in Michigan for maintaining a drug house.…

Manatee Deputies Arrest Man For Robbery That Almost Cost Victim His Ear

Corey Shane Holland was booked into Manatee County jail on charges of robbery and battery on a law enforcement officer. The 21-year-old had his bond set at over one million dollars. Holland is accused of robbing and assaulting a man in a drug deal gone bad. He robbed his would-be pot dealer and almost severed the man’s ear.

The incident took place on Wednesday when Holland was allegedly going to purchase marijuana from the victim. Holland instead attacked the man, stole his wallet and a large amount of weed according to police. He was arrested Thursday after assaulting a police officer and fleeing from the attempted arrest.…

Clearwater Man Busted For Selling Oxycodone To Undercover Cop

A Clearwater man wanted on numerous Florida arrest warrants for home invasion and dealing in stolen property was busted with cocaine while selling oxycodone to an undercover police officer Friday. Charles J. Corno was charged with resisting a law enforcement officer, possession of cocaine andoxycodone and sale of oxycodone. He is being held in Pinellas County Jail.

According to TampaBay.com the drug deal took place just after midnight. Corno sold the pills to an undercover Clearwater police officer. He was about to be arrested but took off. Police caught up with him after a short chase on foot. Corno has pending charges for robbery and aggravated assault in connection with the alleged home invasion.…

Florida Doctor Faces Charges Of Murder, Trafficking And Illegal Sales Of Prescription Drugs

A Palm Beach doctor has been indicted on charges of first-degree murder, prescription drug trafficking and illegal sales of anxiety drugs and painkillers. The investigation centered around three patients that died from an overdose. The charges come after eight months of looking into the practice of West Palm Beach doctor Sergio Rodriguez.

According to an AP story, investigators allege that Rodriguez, who prescribed pain killers and anxiety medication to adult patients out of his pediatric clinic in 2008, is responsible for three deaths. The illegal prescription drugs are believed to be what caused the the
deaths. He is currently in a Palm Beach County jail.…

When it comes to creativity it is a shame so many people put their efforts towards breaking the law rather than using the time they spend coming up with these ideas for good. Take the case of 53-year-old Virgina L. Jacobs of New Port Richey. The woman was arrested for introducing contraband into a detention facility and failure to appear on a driving with a suspended license charge after she allegedly crushed up oxycodone and morphine, hid it under postcard stamps and mailed it to her husband in Pasco County jail.

Robert Jacobs is in jail for failing to appear on paraphernalia and drug charges.…
