Thomas Althoff was taken to Hernando County Jail on charges of driving with a suspended license. He is now in more trouble. According to TampaBay.com the 33-year-old was caught snorting a Xanax pill he snuck into the jail cell under a fat roll at the bottom of his stomach. He is now facing a charge of possessing contraband in jail for the prescription pill and driving while license suspended.
It is being reported a deputy saw the 33-year-old attempting to snort a crushed pill. Althoff originally said he found the anxiety pill in the cell. He later told officers of how he snuck the drug into jail inside a fat roll. He admitted to attempting to snort the pill in his cell. There is no mention that the man is represented by a Tampa Criminal attorney at this point.
