Corey Shane Holland was booked into Manatee County jail on charges of robbery and battery on a law enforcement officer. The 21-year-old had his bond set at over one million dollars. Holland is accused of robbing and assaulting a man in a drug deal gone bad. He robbed his would-be pot dealer and almost severed the man’s ear.
The incident took place on Wednesday when Holland was allegedly going to purchase marijuana from the victim. Holland instead attacked the man, stole his wallet and a large amount of weed according to police. He was arrested Thursday after assaulting a police officer and fleeing from the attempted arrest. At the time of his arrest Holland reportedly was concealing a BB gun in his back pocket.
